Red Electric Trail

This project will create design and construction drawings to build a western segment of the Red Electric Trail, from SW Shattuck Road to SW Cameron Road. The trail will eventually connect to PBOT's recently constructed bridge within the eastern edge of the trail.

Tanner Trunk Sewer Project

Construction is expected to start in June 2024 and will take about five months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace 800 feet of large-diameter brick sewer pipes located in Highway 26 south of Washington Park. These repairs are necessary to maintain reliable sewer service and protect public health and the environment.

Inverness System Planning Project

This project is in the planning phase. Planning and analysis will continue through the summer of 2024.
The Inverness pump station and force main system (The Inverness System) is nearing the end of its service life, and is in need of repair or replacement. This project will choose a preferred solution for repair and/or replacement that protects public health and the environment.

North River Sewer Repair Project

Construction is expected to start September 2024 and take about 6 months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace deteriorating sewer pipe under North River Street between Albina and Interstate avenues. Taking these actions now reduce the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to buildings, streets, streams, and rivers.

North Bradford Sewer Project

Construction is expected to begin in July 2024 and take about 6 months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to abandon a deteriorated sewer pipe under North Bradford Street between Burlington and Richmond Avenues and reroute all private connections to adjacent streets. Taking these actions now will help prevent sewage releases and improve future maintenance.
Fall 2022
Crossing improvements at three intersections will include paving, striping, grading, drainage and curb ramp construction.
Coming in 2024
The Mason/Skidmore Greenway will be a new east-west neighborhood greenway connecting to existing north-south greenways at NE 37th Avenue, NE Cully Blvd, and NE 77th Avenue.

SE 155th Avenue & Main Street / Millmain Drive Local Improvement District

This Local Improvement District (LID) will be constructed adjacent to Parklane Park. Portland Parks and Recreation (PP&R) will be using Parks System Development Charge (SDC) funds for their participation in the LID. This project will improve access to the park and build a multimodal path.
Construction completed in Spring 2024.
Construct a protected safer shoulder on the north side of Boones Ferry Rd from Orchard Hill Rd to Portland city limits.
Construction set to be completed in winter/spring 2025.
Design and implement a safe crossing for bicyclists and pedestrians at SE 52nd Ave to make connections to the existing Gladstone Neighborhood Greenway.

Design and implement a neighborhood greenway along SW Ridge Drive and SW Wilbard Street between SW 35th Drive and SW Taylors Ferry Road. Project by the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT).

SW Taylors Ferry & SW 17th Ave Crossing Improvement

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will create a safer crossing at SW Taylors Ferry Road and SW 17th Avenue by striping a crosswalk and creating a safer walking shoulder along SW 17th from Orchid to Taylors Ferry to provide a link in the Hillsdale – Lake Oswego Trail.

SW 16th Ave and College St Sewer Project

Construction began in November 2023 and should be completed in January 2024.
Environmental Services is repairing approximately 350 feet of public sewer pipe along SW 16th Avenue in the undeveloped right-of-way between SW College and SW Upper Hall streets. Repairing this aging and damaged sewer pipe will help protect public health and the environment.
