Apply for a Payday Lender Permit

Each payday lender location within the cities of Portland, Gresham, or Oregon City needs a payday lender permit. These permits must be renewed every year and are all paid through the City of Portland.

The form should take roughly 15 minutes to complete.

1) Download and fill out the appropriate application

The permit fee is $1,500 per location for each city.

2) Submit your application and payment to us

Write your check for any amount due with your applications and make it payable to 'City of Portland.'

Returned checks will incur a $35 charge (Returned Check Charge Policy)
