Tax Year 2020 Due Date Change

The due date for filing/paying your tax year 2020 Arts Tax return and your Sole Proprietor Combined Tax Return has been extended.

Due to the recent changes made by the IRS (IR-2021-59) and the Oregon Department of Revenue, pursuant to Revenue Division Policy, the Revenue Division has made the following updates to the filing and payment due dates for tax year 2020:

Portland Arts Education and Access Income Tax (Arts Tax) 
  • Tax Year 2020 Filing and Payment Deadline:  The Revenue Division is automatically extending the Portland Arts Tax return filing and payment due on 4/15/2021 until 5/17/2021.
Portland Business License Tax and Multnomah County Business Income Tax
(including Heavy Vehicle Tax and Residential Rental Program Fees)
  •  For Individual Filers Only (SP-2020):
    • Tax Year 2020 Filing Deadline:  The Revenue Division is automatically extending the Portland and Multnomah County business tax return filing due date for individuals due on 4/15/2021 until 5/17/2021.

      The tax year 2020 six-month extension to file, if requested, continues to extend only the filing deadline for sixth months from the normal, original due date. For calendar year filers, the extended filing due date would remain 10/15/2021.

      Any other business tax return filing due on 4/15/2021 is not extended at this time.
       
    • Tax Year 2020 Payment Deadline:  The Revenue Division is automatically extending the Portland and Multnomah County business tax payment due with the 2020 tax year return filing due for individuals on 4/15/2021 until 5/17/2021.

      Any other business tax payment due on 4/15/2021 with a tax year 2020 combined tax return is not extended at this time.
       
  • Tax Year 2021 Estimated Business Tax Payments: Estimated Portland and Multnomah County business tax payments for tax year 2021 are not extended.
