Using ProjectDox in Google Chrome Browser

Follow the instructions below to enable Chrome's Request Desktop Site function. This will allow the browser to take advantage of ProjectDox's full functionality.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Visit
  3. On the ProjectDox login page, enter your email address and password
  4. Tap the PROJECT number to open.
  5. Select the Files tab.
  6. In the left-hand file tree, select the folder you want to view.
  7. Select the document you want to view.
A new tab in your browser will open and after a moment with a “Loading Viewer” spinner, the document or drawing will appear. The document will display in Chrome's built-in PDF viewer, which lacks the features of ProjectDox Viewer.
  8. To access the full features of the ProjectDox View, tap the three vertical dots (...) at the top-right of the browser.
  9. Tap Desktop Site.
The file page will reload, opening your file with the BRAVA navigation tools (i.e. annotate, measure, etc.).

Enable ProjectDox Pop-Ups in Chrome

ProjectDox uses pop-up windows. If you tap on something in ProjectDox and nothing seems to happen, it’s likely that Chrome is blocking ProjectDox from opening pop-up windows.  Follow the instructions below to enable pop-ups in Chrome.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots (...) at the top-right of the browser.
  3. Select Site settings.
  4. Select Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. If Pop-ups and redirects are blocked, the text reads: "Block sites from showing pop-ups and redirects (recommended)", tap the toggle.
The toggle should now be to the Right and the text should read: "Allowed."
  6. Tap back arrow in the upper-left corner.

Clear Browsing Data in Chrome

Most problems with ProjectDox occur because pop-ups are disabled, which is addressed above, or because old web browsing data needs to be cleared out. Follow the steps below to clear Chrome's browser cache, cookies, history, and other website data.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots (...) at the top-right of the browser.
  3. Select History.
  4. Tap Clear browsing data to enter a new menu.
  5. On the Basic tab, make sure Cookies and Site Data, and Cached images and files are checked.
Clearing Browsing History is optional and will not impact ProjectDox performance. If you do not want your Browsing History deleted, de-select it before proceeding.
  6. Tap Clear browsing data.
