The Noise Program supports the city’s lively spirit, safety, and health by reviewing requests for City noise code variances for exciting and essential events. We also educate the public on the human health issue of urban noise pollution by enforcing the City's Noise Code Title 18.
Effective May 15, construction activities may begin at 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday without a noise variance when the temperature predicted by the National Weather Service is expected to exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit by 3 p.m.
