This downtime is necessary to implement significant updates and transition data use and storage to the cloud.

The upcoming upgrades will bring several improvements. One of the primary enhancements includes faster upload and download speeds, improving the process of submitting and accessing documents within the platform. Moreover, the system upgrades will prepare ProjectDox for a broader expansion to include more permit types. This expansion aims to serve a wider array of project needs, accommodating various types of permits and applications seamlessly.

The transition of data use and storage to the cloud signifies a strategic move towards more fully modernizing the City’s permitting infrastructure. By leveraging cloud technology, ProjectDox aims to enhance scalability, reliability, and accessibility, ensuring users can access their documents securely from anywhere at any time.

During the planned outage period, customers will be unable to access ProjectDox. To minimize disruption, customers are encouraged to plan ahead for any document submissions or project management needs that may be impacted during this timeframe.

The City of Portland remains committed to providing efficient and effective digital solutions for managing permits and development projects.
