The City of Portland launched an online tool for property owners and tenants to report damage to buildings due to the January 2024 snow and ice storms.

Residents, tenants and owners of property located within Portland are encouraged to share information to help the City recover from this weather event.

The Portland Bureau of Emergency Management collects the information provided through this assessment tool and uses this information to help provide a complete picture of the damage incurred in Portland from the storm. The information also supports efforts to obtain state and federal disaster recovery assistance.

Sharing information with the City through this online tool does not guarantee financial assistance from local, state or federal disaster relief organizations to help repair properties.

This tool complements the work of inspectors from the Bureau of Development Services who are conducting assessments of property damage across Portland.

More information to aid in the repair of damaged properties can be found on the City of Portland’s website. Not all repair work may require permits, but Development Services will speed up the processing of permits needed to repair damage from recent storms.
