This is a public hearing on the Proposed Draft South Portland Historic District Design Guidelines. Oral testimony to the Historic Landmarks Commission will be accepted. Testimony will be limited to two minutes, unless otherwise stated at the hearing. Testifiers must register in advance using the link provided on this page (registration will open one week in advance of the hearing). Written comments on the Proposed Draft design guidelines can be submitted by email to Brandon Spencer-Hartle.

Design Advice Request Meeting for a proposal to construct a 23-story, 300-unit apartment tower, including affordable housing. The development is an addition to the east half of the Honeyman Hardware Historic Landmark block where some demolition of the existing Historic Block is proposed. The proposal would include 3 levels of underground parking, ground floor retail, tenant amenity space on levels 2 and 23, and an ecoroof. No Modifications or Adjustments to the Zoning Code are anticipated at this time.
