Effective November 15, 2023: All fee reductions for affordable housing and non-profit organizations have been discontinued until further notice.
About fee reductions
Each building permit and land use fee reduction request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Depending on the bureau's financial state, fee reductions may be suspended at any time.
The PP&D Director’s Office and Customer Success Program support fee reduction requests.
Note: PP&D is not able to reduce other bureaus' fees or System Development Charges.
Eligibility opportunities
The bureau will offer additional reductions when the bureau’s financial state allows for it. We acknowledge the value each project brings to the community.
Note: We determine eligibility for the Low-income Fee Reduction category using the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) area Median Family Income. Current eligibility for a fee reduction is set at 80% area Median Family Income.
