CITY CONTACT: Tim Heron, PP&D, tim.heron@portlandoregon.gov
TriMet is developing a new family of bus shelters including 3 on street shelter types and 2 high capacity shelter types for transit centers and related high ridership transit locations and facilities. The long term intent is to replace the current on street inventory of aging bus shelters while also improving the design cohesiveness of amenities at multimodal transit facilities. TriMet is requesting an advisory briefing to seek advice from the Portland Design Commission to exempt the next generation shelter family from the Land Use process by making them new standard improvements in the ROW.
