Process Management intake process
The process outlined below strives to increase efficiency and communication with our customers who have an assigned Process Manager.
Intake process outline
- Email your Process Manager a completed Building and Mechanical Permit Application.
- Your Process Manager will generate a ProjectDox electronic review session for you to upload your drawings and documents. Find ProjectDox instructions here.
- Drawings and documents: Follow the minimum submittal requirements outlined in Commercial Permit Application Requirements.
- In addition to the intake screening by the Process Manager, the plans will be prescreened by technical reviewers within five business days to check that all the minimum submittal requirements are met for review.
- If the minimum submittal requirements are met:
- The Process Manager will inform you that the plans are acceptable for intake, and the intake fees will be due at that time.
- When all intake fees have been paid, the first review cycle will begin.
Make sure your application is complete. Get the Preliminary Intake Checklist.
If the plans do not have the minimum information necessary for review:
- The reviewer will prepare a checklist of the items missing. This checklist will be emailed to you by your Process Manager and will also be added as a comment in ProjectDox.
- You will need to provide the requested information, revise your submittal, upload new information, provide a written response to the prescreen comments in ProjectDox, and complete the Prescreen Corrections task. The Process Manager will then resume the screening process.
