Wanting to Return Home to Family or Friends?
Sometimes individuals experiencing homelessness want to return home, to be reunited with their family or friends. The City's Street Services Coordination Center helps to coordinate these reunifications.
If you or someone you know experiencing homelessness is ready to return home, please call 3-1-1 or fill out our Request a City Outreach Form. Be sure to check the box on the form requesting reunification.

- Multnomah County Emergency Shelter Listing – Find overnight, seasonal, and day shelters.
- Multnomah County Day Centers Listing - Find indoor spaces for basic needs and connections to services.
- Transition Projects Resource Center – Day center with showers, laundry, mail, and medical referrals.
- NW Glisan Oasis Day Center - Outdoor day center with covered areas, showers, bathrooms, kitchenette, pet area.
- JOIN PDX - Day center with showers, laundry, and mail.
- PDX Saints Love - Meals, haircuts, clothing, restrooms, bus passes, wound care, resources, connections to health care and case management.
- Portland Rescue Mission - Meals, mail services, restrooms, crisis care, and information about houseless services.
- Union Gospel Mission - Prepared meals to-go, clothing, and information about resources.
- Blanchet House of Hospitality - Meals three times a day, six days per week.
- The Washhouse - Drop off laundry service
- City Day Storage - Storage for personal belongings Monday -Sunday, 7 a.m. - 7:45 p.m.

- Central City Concern – Supportive housing, recovery programs, and employment support.
- Portland Housing Bureau – Affordable housing programs, rental assistance, and eviction prevention.
3. Health & Behavioral Health
- Outside In – Primary care, mental health counseling, syringe exchange, youth services.
- Bybee Lakes Hopes Center - Recovery beds, assists with resource to transition to sustainable housing.
- Behavioral Health Resource Center - Drop-in day center with shelter and temporary housing operated by Multnomah County.
- Prism Health (Cascade AIDS Project) – LGBTQ-focused health services, testing, and counseling.
- Quest Center for Integrative Health – Trauma-informed recovery, LGBTQ+ recovery homes.
4. Women, Youth & Family Services
- Rose Haven – Safe day shelter and support for women, children, transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals.
- Janus Youth Programs – Porch Light – Shelter, housing, and case management for youth ages 16–24.
- Impact NW – Family support, eviction prevention, and youth services.
- New Avenues for Youth - Food, clothing, hygiene items and bus tickets; employment and education assistance; referrals to housing, crisis support and health care.
- Outside In - Meals, recreation/activities, showers, laundry, phone, mailing address, and computers for youth age 16-24.

- Ground Up PDX – Employment and skills training for people transitioning out of homelessness.

- City Street Outreach Team – Connects with unsheltered individuals and links them to shelter and case management.
