Introduction
Portland City Code 20.12.210 allows the Director of Portland Parks & Recreation to
designate park closure hours other than 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Parks that have earlier closing times are implemented to reduce nuisance activity after hours and reduce damage and harm to park assets and ensure visitor enjoyment of parks. To properly catalog prior policies related to park hours at different park sites, the Director will rescind older policies and implement this policy as the primary list to catalog all early park closure hours into a singular rule. This rule will be revised as necessary by the Director to ensure park hours are properly recorded.
