LABOR AGREEMENT - CITY OF PORTLAND PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION - CERTAIN REPRESENTED EMPLOYEES

PURPOSE
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. Representatives of the City and COPPEA have signed a Tentative Agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of employment for employees in the Communications Engineer and Environmental Program Coordinator classifications through June 30, 2013.
2. The agreement meets the City’s bargaining interests by extending the provisions of the COPPEA labor agreement and agreeing to pay rates for employees in these classifications.
POLICY
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor and Auditor are authorized to execute a labor agreement between the City and COPPEA relating to the terms and conditions of employment for Communications Engineer and Environmental Program Coordinator classifications.
b. Said labor agreement to conform to the provisions in the Tentative Agreement attached to this Ordinance marked Exhibit “A” which by this reference is made a part thereof.
c. The ordinance is a binding City policy.
