Overview

In October 2018 the Portland Police Bureau initiated a new process to collect, store, and track information related to gun violence. This dashboard is a representation of shooting incidents where a firearm was discharged and reported to the Portland Police Bureau. It can be filtered based on firearm-related injuries, but does not include incidents with a firearm-related suicide nexus, attempted or completed. Gun violence data prior to 2019 was not tracked using the same criteria and is not available for comparison.
