A serious vehicle accident has occurred in the Centennial neighborhood after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

On Monday, July 13th, 2026, at 9:19 p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a pedestrian involved crash on Southeast 148th Avenue near Southeast Main Street. When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian in critical condition. AMR arrived and transported the pedestrian to the hospital. The pedestrian remains in critical condition. The involved driver remained at the scene.
Due to the nature of the accident and the resulting injuries the Major Crash Team is responding to investigate. Information about the cause of the accident is not being released at this time.
Southeast 148th Avenue is closed between Southeast Main Street and Southeast Market Street to all traffic. It will likely remain closed for several hours during the investigation.
