Published

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in a 2022 sexual assault case.

On July 24, 2022, numerous males were celebrating a birthday at a business in the 8000 block of Southeast 17th Avenue when they were joined by an adult female. Later in the evening, one of the males left with the woman and went to a nearby apartment complex where a sexual assault occurred.

Person of interest

PPB is releasing images of a person of interest in the case in hopes that someone in the community recognizes him or has information that could assist in the investigation. The person of interest is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6' tall, 190 lbs. with blue eyes and blonde hair. Back in 2022, the individual was believed to be between 28 and 30 years of age, and he was wearing a teal t-shirt, beige shorts and a teal Carhartt hat.

Anyone with information is urged to contact crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 22-207193.
