The pedestrian who died following a crash in Northeast Portland on March 12, 2026, has been identified as Leavern William Robinson, 44, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death.

Traffic #ALERT: Major Crash Team Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Involved Crash on N. Columbia Blvd

On Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 4:22 a.m., Portland Police Officers from North Precinct responded to a report of a crash at North Columbia Boulevard and North Clarendon Avenue. When they arrived they found an adult male pedestrian had been struck and was deceased at the scene. Preliminary investigation suggests the man was hit by two vehicles. Both involved drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation. 

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, North Columbia Boulevard is closed both directions between North Van Houten Avenue and North Macrum Avenue.
