On Thursday, February 5, 2026, at approximately 10:55 p.m., officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct responded to reports of a shooting at a motel in the 11300 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard. When they arrived, officers located an adult male and an adult female inside a room suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

As PPB's Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) and the Forensic Evidence Division (FED) responded to assist with the investigation, officers secured the scene, collected evidence, and developed suspect information. During a search of the surrounding area, officers detained two possible suspects more than 10 blocks away and two additional people near the motel. Ultimately, three individuals were arrested and transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center.
