Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Northwest Portland, Major Crash Team Investigating
On Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 11:20 p.m., officers from the Central Precinct responded to a call of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Northwest Yeon Avenue and Northwest 44th Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found a pedestrian who was seriously injured. The pedestrian was transported by paramedics to an area hospital where they later died. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team will respond to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, Northwest Yeon Avenue will be closed between Northwest Express Avenue and Northwest St. Helens Road.
