UPDATE: Timothy Clink Found Safe Thanks to News Coverage and Alert Community Member

An alert community member who saw a news story about missing person Timothy Clink found him and called police.

Less than an hour and a half after the news release was distributed, at 9:25 p.m., North Precinct officers were called to North Kilpatrick Street and North Denver Avenue on a report that someone had found Timothy. The responding officer confirmed that he was ok, alerted his family, and gave him a courtesy ride home. 

The Portland Police Bureau is grateful to the news media for sharing this information with the public and for all the community members who looked for him.

PPB Seeks Information About Missing Man with Dementia 

A man with dementia is missing and PPB Missing Persons Unit Detectives are seeking information from the public on his whereabouts. 

On Friday, July 4, 2025, sometime between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., Timothy Clink, 62, left his home in the 1500 block of North Hayden Island Drive. Officers have searched for him but so far have been unable to locate him. 

Clink is a white male, 5’10” in height, 150lbs, white hair and beard, with a large mole on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing grey/white T-shirt with "Jet City Expo Services" on it, grey sweatpants, sandals with white socks, and possibly a beige sun hat. Clink has dementia and it is difficult for him to speak. He is familiar with TriMet and spoke of wanting to watch fireworks somewhere around Southeast 82nd Avenue to Southeast 92nd Avenue between Southeast Foster Road and Southeast Sunnyside Road in Clackamas.
