Published

The Portland Police Bureau served a warrant in the Multnomah Neighborhood and recovered stolen property.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Portland Police Bureau’s Central Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) and Bike Squad, in collaboration with PPB’s Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), the Lake Oswego Police Department, and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, served a warrant in the 4300 block of Southwest Garden Home Road in the Multnomah Neighborhood. The warrant, connected to a burglary investigation, resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property. Handmade jewelry crafted by a Portland area artist and other homemade goods that had been distributed to various pawn shops were among the recovered items.

PPB arrested one individual during the service of the warrant. Joseph P. Doherty, 46, of Portland, was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) and lodged on the following charges: Burglary in the First Degree, Burglary in the Second Degree (six counts), and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.

Due to this being an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.

PPB would like to thank people living and working in the Multnomah Neighborhood for their cooperation and patience during this operation.
