Mission Focuses on Illegal Drug Activity in North Portland

A collaborative mission on Saturday, July 12, 2025, focused on four neighborhoods that have been identified as having a high-level of drug-related activity and associated criminal behavior. Officers made several arrests and seized drugs, cash and illegal guns.

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Narcotics and Organized Crime (NOC) Unit coordinated a collaborative Service Coordination Team (SCT) proactive patrol mission in the North Precinct. The operation included participation from officers and investigators with NOC, the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST), Human Trafficking Unit (HTU), North Neighborhood Response Team (NRT), Air Support Unit (ASU), and patrol officers from both the East and North Precincts. 

Acting on reports from community members, business owners and neighborhood associations, as well as PPB investigations, this mission focused on multiple areas within North Precinct that have a high-level of drug-related activity and associated criminal behavior. This included areas in the Eliot Neighborhood, Lloyd Neighborhood, Overlook Neighborhood and East Columbia Neighborhood.

Mission Results:

• 7 Subjects Arrested 

• 2 Subjects Criminally Cited and Released 

• 2 Firearms Seized 

• 1 Stolen Vehicle Recovered 

• 1 Vehicle Elude 

• 13 Felony Charges Filed 

• 4 Misdemeanor Charges Filed 

• 3 Warrants Served 

• 60 Grams of Narcotics Seized 

• $4,290  Drug Proceeds Seized

In addition to enforcement efforts, officers contacted numerous drug-affected individuals and offered SCT services and resources aimed at breaking the cycle of addiction and criminality. These outreach efforts reflect PPB’s ongoing commitment to enhancing individual lives and improving the overall livability of our community.
