On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 12:57 p.m., Portland Police officers from East Precinct responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 2400 block of Southeast 90th Avenue by at least 2 masked suspects.

When officers arrived they saw a vehicle driving away that matched the description of

the suspect vehicle. Officers attempted a police stop, but the driver tried to elude. Police deployed spike strips to flatten the tires of the eluding vehicle. The driver crashed into a curb near Southeast 84th and Division Street and officers saw three suspects run into the blocks. Numerous officers responded to assist and they set up a perimeter around the area. A K9 track led to the location and arrest of all three suspects by 1:22 p.m.

The involved vehicle was determined to be stolen.

Officers checked the home where the burglary happened and discovered no one was hurt and nothing was taken. There are indications that the home was specifically targeted and not a random selection by the suspects.

All three suspects were booked into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility on the listed charges:

Two juvenile males, both 17, of Portland,

ORS 164.354 Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and

ORS 164.225 Burglary in the First Degree (attempted)

ORS 811.540 Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer on Foot
