The victim was identified as Richard Lee Bowers, 57, of Portland.
His family has been notified of his death and are requesting privacy.
The Medical Examiner determined at Bowers died by homicide due to blunt force trauma.

Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau have made an arrest in connection to the death investigation on Hayden Island.
The suspect is identified as Timothy L. Hudson. The 68-year-old was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center and lodged on the following charges: Murder in the Second Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.
The victim's identity, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released when appropriate.

Death Investigation Underway on Hayden Island
A death investigation is underway on Hayden Island.
On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau’s North Precinct responded to reports of a deceased individual on the west end of Hayden Island. When they arrived, officers located an adult male deceased.
PPB’s Homicide Unit has responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.
