The driver killed in a crash on June 14, 2025, has been identified as Michael B. Payne, 82, of Portland. Payne's family has been notified of his death.

Driver Killed in Crash in Southeast Portland
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 4:56 p.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the area of Southeast 119th Avenue and Southeast Division Street on a report head-on collision. When officers arrived, they located one of the vehicles involved in the crash and determined that an occupant was deceased. Another person involved in the crash was transported to an area hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, Southeast Division Street will be closed between Southeast 112th Avenue and Southeast 119th Avenue.
