Portland Police Releases Year-End Review Video

Label: Press release
As we prepare to close out 2025, the Portland Police Bureau is pleased to present to our community a year-end review video. The video is available on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/MTorbXv0p50
Published

The video provides a summary of some of PPB's missions, major arrests and community engagement work. It also highlights the innovative, data-driven public safety work done by PPB sworn and professional staff, and the partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and community groups.

"I want to acknowledge the lives lost this year to homicidal violence and to traffic crashes. Each loss affects families, friends, neighborhoods, and our entire community. We remember them, and their loved ones remain in our thoughts," said Chief Bob Day. "I want to thank our sworn personnel, our professional staff, our partner agencies, elected officials, and—most importantly—you, the Portland community. Your support, partnership, and engagement are critical to our success."

The video also highlights PPB's recruiting and hiring efforts. PPB hired 72 officers in 2025 and that effort will continue in 2026. Help PPB recruit the next generation of Portland Police members, please see our website https://joinportlandpolice.com/ .

Happy new year!
