The victim in a fatal hit-and-run on December 12, 2025, has been identified as Anthony M. Boyd, 63, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death. They are requesting privacy at this time, but they did provide a photo for public release.

The Medical Examiner determined Boyd died of homicide by blunt force trauma.

Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or has surveillance video to provide, to contact homicidetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 25-339849.

Traffic #ALERT: Investigation Underway in Sumner Neighborhood Involving Fatal Hit-and-Run

On Friday, December 12, 2025 at 3:04 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of a crash in the 8700 block of Northeast Prescott Street. When officers and paramedics arrived, they found a male deceased at the scene. The involved driver left the scene. No suspect information is available at this time.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, Northeast Prescott Street is closed between Northeast 86th Avenue to Northeast 88th Avenue.

If anyone has information about this crash and has not already talked to police, please e-mail crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 25-339849.

The PIO is not responding to the scene. Additional information will be released when appropriate.
