A St. Helens man has been arrested on charges including sodomy and sexual abuse, and detectives with the Portland Police Bureau are concerned there could be additional victims.

In January of 2025, PPB officers took two separate reports from women who said they had been sexually assaulted by a man they met through online dating applications. Both women reported the incidents took place at a residence in the 4700 block of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard. The women reported that the man used physical force to engage in sexual activity, and both women sought medical attention.

The suspect, Cameron L. Hindman, 26, was taken into custody in Scappoose, Oregon, on Friday, October 31, 2025, on a related arrest warrant. PPB is releasing Hindman's photo in an effort to identify additional victims.
