Homicide Detectives Investigating Shooting in the Creston-Kenilworth Neighborhood

Portland Police Homicide Unit Detectives are investigating a shooting in the Creston-Kenilworth Neighborhood that left a man with life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 5:36 a.m., Portland Police officers from East Precinct responded to a report of a shooting in the 5800 block of Southeast Foster Road. When they arrived, they found an adult male victim sitting in a vehicle. The victim, suffering apparent gunshot wounds, was transported to the hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries. The suspect or suspects left the scene before police arrived, and no immediate arrests were made.

Due to the seriousness of the injuries, the Portland Police Detective Division Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is actively investigating. During the investigation, Southeast Foster Road is closed between Southeast 56th Avenue to Southeast 59th Avenue.
