Today, the Portland Police Bureau is presenting the 2025 Crime Reduction Plan.
In 2024, the Portland Police Bureau implemented a mission-driven crime reduction plan that applies data-driven approaches to focus on specific locations, crimes or neighborhood concerns. Calls for service decreased, and crime went down in several categories compared to numbers the previous year.
We will continue this approach in 2025 while we strive to improve through increased data gathering, better metrics to measure our work, adding internal and external partnerships, fiscal responsibility and responsiveness to community voices.
