We are aware of a street takeover in the area of North Lombard St. and North Chautauqua Blvd. Road users should stay clear of this area.

We are aware of a couple of planned events in Portland, and we are monitoring interest and activity. Our partners, @MultCoSO and @ORStatePolice are with us tonight, and we’re prepared to respond to any threats to community safety.

We are aware of a march in downtown Portland. A reminder that those involved should stay on the sidewalks and not block intersections.

Several minibike riders are in custody after they were seen doing burnouts on the sidewalks near Pioneer Courthouse Square and riding recklessly through downtown. With the help of the Air Support Unit, officers located and arrested the riders at a nearby gas station. (A photo was included with this post.)

We are monitoring two events planned in downtown this afternoon. Our Event Liaison Officers are in the area and ready to talk with event organizers. PPB bicycle officers are patrolling downtown promoting public safety and protecting free speech, while watching out for any criminal acts, including violence and damage. Our community may also see officers on foot, on motorcycles, and in SUVs. (A photo was included with this post.)

PPB is aware of multiple demonstrations in Southeast Portland today. We are monitoring these events and asking organizers to reach out to our Event Liaison Officers (wearing white shirts) in order to facilitate safe demonstrations.

PPB sound truck is advising a march in the street on SE Belmont: "Hey folks, this is the Portland Police Bureau. We want to remind you to stay out of the street and remain on the sidewalk. Thank you for your understanding and have a safe march."
