Police Training Advisory Council is looking for new members

The Portland Police Bureau is currently recruiting new members to serve on its Training Advisory Council (TAC).

This council was established in January of 2012 by the Portland City Council Resolution 36912. The TAC’s mission is “to provide ongoing advice to the Chief of Police and the Training Division in order to continuously improve training standards, practices and outcomes through the examination of training content, delivery, tactics, policy, equipment and facilities.” If you are interested or would like to learn more, please visit https://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/78019 where you can find a link to the application and additional information.  We are currently seeking to fill 3 to 8 vacant positions on the TAC and are accepting applications with the deadline of February 28, 2022.
