The Oregon U-Visa Program is dedicated to protecting immigrant victims of crime and providing them with the resources and support they need to seek justice.

What is the U-Visa? The U-Visa, or U nonimmigrant status, is designed for victims of specific crimes who have experienced substantial mental or physical abuse and are willing to assist law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of the crime. This visa allows eligible victims to temporarily stay in the United States and access necessary services while aiding law enforcement efforts.

Your Rights as a Victim: Regardless of your immigration status, as a victim of crime in Oregon, you have constitutionally protected rights, including:

  • Access to emergency medical care
  • Access to police assistance
  • Prosecution of perpetrators
  • Community-based services for your safety and well-being

How Can We Help? The program offers assistance in navigating the U-Visa application process, including:

  • Providing information on eligibility criteria
  • Connecting you with certifying officials for Form I-918B certification
  • Offering support and guidance throughout the application process
