Permits

Special events are moving events held in the street and/or sidewalk, such as runs, walks, marches, parades or bicycle races. Event organizers must get all additional permits before the event.

Parks

Special Use Permits for Portland Parks (more than 150 people)

Terry Schrunk Plaza is a federal property where both state and federal laws apply to users. The Federal Protective Service is the lead enforcement agency for this property. Specific rules and regulations governing federal property can be found here:

Weapons

Per Portland City Code, it is unlawful to carry a loaded firearm in public unless you have a valid Oregon concealed handgun license or as specified in the code.

The City of Portland has specific conduct rules and laws that apply to parks, including a specific prohibition on the possession of weapons in parks.

Oregon has NO concealed handgun license reciprocity with any other state, and it is a crime to carry a concealed handgun in Oregon unless you have and present for inspection a valid OREGON concealed handgun license (Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 166.250 and ORS 166.291.

Right to Reasonable Accommodation

Complaints and Commendations

Commendations or complaints about officer conduct today should be directed to the Office of Independent Police Review (IPR).

Crime Stoppers

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a minimum $250 cash reward to anyone who reports a convicted felon and tipsters can remain anonymous. Rewards of up to $1,000 are available for other unsolved felony crimes - $2,500 for unsolved homicides.
