Case #04-8469

At approximately 7:37 p.m. on January 31, 2004, an unidentified African-American man shot and killed Winston Moton on the sidewalk of Northwest Couch Street in between 5th and 6th Avenues. Mr. Moton, a 29-year-old man, had been talking with several other men when one of the men pulled out a handgun, shooting and killing Mr. Moton.

The suspect is described as an African American male, 25 to 40 years of age, medium to stocky build with a short afro wearing a dark coat.

Witnesses may contact Cold Case Homicide Unit investigators directly at (503) 823-0400. To remain anonymous, witnesses may provide information through Crime Stoppers of Oregon.
