Case #86-44630
At approximately 6:15 am on May 5, 1986, a passerby near the intersection of SE McLoughlin and Holgate Boulevard noticed a deceased male in the parking lot of the Rose Manor Motel. The police were contacted and discovered Michael Blair, a 35-year-old white man, had been shot to death.
Michael Blair was a manager of a franchised 7-Eleven store in Milwaukie and was openly gay. Mr. Blair was reported to be a regular drinker and an occasional user of meth. He was described as friendly and easy going.
Mr. Blair was last seen alive at the Semaphore Restaurant at 5:00 am buying coffee. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots at approximately 5:15 am. Two possibly white individuals were reported running from the scene after the gunshots were heard.
