Case #82-20743

At approximately 3:30 am on the morning of March 13, 1982, a security guard serving the West Hills Convalescent Home at 5701 SW Multnomah Boulevard found the victim’s body in the driveway. The victim, John Plunkett, a 40-year-old white man, had died from a gunshot wound.

John Plunkett had recently been working on a cable splicing crew for PGE and was divorced. He was known to be a social drinker who frequented bars in the Ranier, Oregon, area where he was recently employed as a security guard at Trojan Nuclear Power Plant. He also frequented bars in Milwaukie and Clackamas County.

Mr. Plunkett was last seen at approximately 7:30 pm in Oregon City.
