Case #76-33485

On May 2, 1976, a neighbor conducted a welfare check of Grace Elliot and found her dead inside her home.  Grace was a 77-year-old widow who lived quietly in the 2700 block of 67th Ave.  The Medical Examiner determined that she was a victim of a homicide.  The police believe there was forcible entry made into her home.

Friends and relatives said that she had several long telephone conversations with them the previous day.  A phone conversation with her sister-in-law had ended at about 9:15 pm.

Grace always left her living room drapes open about a foot or so.  A neighbor returning home from work that evening reported that Grace’s living room drapes were completely closed at about 11:30 pm.

Friends and neighbors said that Grace Elliott was a friendly person who had been living quietly since her husband died about two years before.
