Case #96-8290

At approximately 12:50 am on January 25, 1996, multiple witnesses heard and saw Alvaro Ramirez-Avila, a 24 year-old Hispanic male, being shot and killed in the street by an unidentified man on SW Alder between 4th and 5th Avenue.

Mr. Ramirez-Avila was a known drug dealer. Investigators determined that he was shot as the result of a drug deal gone bad.

The unidentified male has been described as a white or Hispanic male with curly brown hair and wearing a tan jacket. He was seen fleeing the scene heading north on SW 4th Avenue.
