At approximately 3:30 am on May 28, 1997, Wendy Kay Lim, a 34-year-old white female, was riding in the front passenger seat of an associate’s car near the intersection of N. Webster and N. Albina St. A white car with two African-American male occupants approached their vehicle where Ms. Lim and her friend had stopped on the street to talk to a friend named “Bobby.” The passenger of the white car shot into the car multiple times, fatally wounding Wendy Lim and wounding her associate. Ms. Lim was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time
