On Thursday, May 26, 1983, in the early morning hours, the body of Rose Marie Ouellette, a 33-year-old white female, was found in her apartment at the Evergreen Apartments, located at 1920 N.W. 26th Avenue.  She had been stabbed and due to the condition of her body, it appeared she had been deceased for several days.

The last reported time she was seen alive was late in the evening hours of Thursday, May 19th.  That evening, she had been socializing with friends at Hogart’s Tavern in Northwest Portland, and had left the area and returned to her apartment building.
