PAC March 2023 Public Meetings

THIS WEDNESDAY: City Council to consider changing PAC deadline to August 31
The Portland City Council agenda for March 22 includes a resolution which would change the Police Accountability Commission's deadline from June 9, 2023 to August 31, 2023.

The additional time would be used primarily for additional community engagement. It would also allow for deeper consideration of legal and technical issues around the implementation of the new Oversight Board, and ensuring that the PAC's proposals fit with each other and are known and understood by the City Council and the public.

Community members can sign up to testify on this resolution using agenda item 240.
