Dear Portlanders,
Tomorrow, June 23, the Police Accountability Commission will host the Acting Captain of the Portland Police Bureau's Internal Affairs unit, as well as the Commander of the Professional Standards Division (which oversees both Internal Affairs and the Police Review Board process). The presenters will take questions from the members of the commission as well as the public on how Portland's current police accountability system works, and barriers to accountability and best practices within the system.
This email is a public meeting notice for several upcoming meetings.
Public Meeting Notice
Upcoming meetings of the Police Accountability Commission will continue to be on Mondays and Thursdays, with Mondays generally being sub-committee meetings and the full commission meeting on Thursdays:
- Police Accountability Commission Work Session with PPB Internal Affairs and PPB Professional Standards Division
Thursday, June 23, 7-9 PM - PAC Sub-Committee on Research:
Monday, June 27, 7-9 PM - Police Accountability Commission Public Meeting with PPB Police Review Board Coordinator and City Commissioner Dan Ryan:
Thursday, June 30, 6:30-9 PM - The Police Accountability Commission will not meet the week of July 4-10.

As more information is finalized for each meeting, it will be posted at the links above. The links include Zoom connection information for members of the public to observe the meeting and participate with public comment, agenda items for the meeting, and other documents. Meeting reports will also be posted at this link after the meeting.
