Accessibility

To help ensure that community members can observe these meetings, the City of Portland will provide ASL interpretation, closed captioning and Spanish interpretation.  If there are other ways we can help you more fully participate in this process, please contact the Police Accountability Commission support staff at PoliceAccountability@portlandoregon.gov.

Community Input

Community members may give input in two ways. Prior to the meeting, members may provide written public comment to the Police Accountability Commission. Public comment related to the items under discussion at a specific meeting will be circulated to commission members if received by 4 PM, two days prior to the meeting, to allow commission members to read them in advance, and will also be part of the public record of the meeting.

Additionally, members may give public comment verbally during a meeting without needing to sign up. Opportunities for verbal public comment will occur whenever placed on the agenda towards the end of a meeting, as well as prior to all substantive decisions of the commission. To give verbal public comment, simply raise your hand using the Zoom function during the meeting when facilitators ask if there is any public comment.
