On January 14, 2021, Multnomah County rescinded Ordinance 1287 which provided additional COVID-19 eviction protections to Multnomah County and City of Portland renters. This action will become effective on February 1, 2021, in order to provide renters, landlords, and advocates time to prepare for compliance with House Bill 4401.

All rent arrears accumulated during April 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 are due July 1, 2021 if tenants submit a written declaration to their landlord.
