October 5, 12-1 pm
In this one-hour session, subject matter experts from the Fair Housing Council of Oregon (FHCO) will provide a high-level overview of federal and state anti-discrimination protections for renters.
Requirements for Sale/Purchase of Occupied Rentals
October 6, 12-1 pm
This one-hour session will be of particular interest to realtors, buyers and sellers, and tenants of occupied rentals which are being sold. In it, a subject matter expert from RPM Education with provide a high-level overview of landlord/tenant law considerations that may come up before, during and after the sell.
Conflict Management Strategies for Landlord/Tenant Relationships
October 7, 12-1 pm
In this one-hour session, subject matter experts from Resolutions Northwest will discuss ways to reduce and manage conflicts that may arise in the normal course of landlord/tenant business interactions.
Property Maintenance Standards for Rental Properties
October 8 and 9, 12-1 pm
This two-part session begins from 12-1 pm on Thursday and continues from 12-1 pm on Friday. Subject matter experts from Portland Permitting & Development (PP&D) will provide a high-level overview of city codes related to habitability in residential rentals. They will also provide information about the process for reporting habitability concerns related to buildings, nuisance, noise, or zoning.
