New Affordable Housing Now Open at 73Foster

A new affordable housing development has opened on SE Foster Road. 73Foster, from REACH CDC, contains 64 units, from studios to 3-bedrooms. 29 units are family-sized and 22 offer Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) with wrap-around services for those exiting homelessness.

The project offers great access to transit, groceries, schools, parks, and is walking distance from Mt. Scott Community Center. REACH deployed Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund to install high-efficiency mini-split heating and cooling, above-code insulation, and a solar array. 73Foster also includes 10 ADA-accessible units, with additional design features focused on accessibility for disabled residents. The project was designed by Holst Architecture and Walsh Construction Co. served as the general contractor.

73Foster  was made funded in part by the voter-approved Metro Affordable Housing Bond, which is on track to open 2,154 units in Portland, with more to be announced soon. Thank you to the voters for this important investment in housing affordability across our region!
