PHB and N/NE Oversight Committee Present 2025 Annual Report to Housing & Homelessness Committee

The N/NE Neighborhood Housing Strategy has opened 723 affordable rental units and 42 affordable homeownership units, created 134 new homeowners, and provided over 1,400 home repair grants and loans to help prevent displacement. The Strategy is a PHB initiative to address a legacy of displacement.

True North is Under Construction

Habitat for Humanity is breaking ground on 50 new affordable townhomes in University Park, available to households earning up to 60% or 80% AMI. These 2-4 bedroom homes are subject to the N/NE Preference Policy, prioritizing applicants with historic ties to the area.

Garden Park Estates is Complete

Innovative Housing, Inc. has completed construction on a redevelopment and expansion in Powellhurst-Gilbert. The new Garden Park Estates consists of 117 energy-efficient affordable homes, studios to 3-bedrooms, including 25 units of Permanent Supportive Housing.

Gooseberry Trails is Under Construction

Habitat for Humanity has broken ground on 52 new affordable townhomes in Hillsdale, available to households earning up to 60% or 80% AMI. The homes range from 2-5 bedrooms, and 5 will be fully ADA accessible.

The Strong Building is Now Open

75 new affordable homes are now available at the Strong Building, developed by Community Development Partners (CDP) and Self Enhancement Inc. (SEI) on property sold to PHB by the Strong Family, and prioritizing those on the N/NE Preference Policy waitlist.
