About the MULTE Extension

The 5-Year MULTE Extension is available to projects with applications submitted before February 1, 2017, and restricting affordability at 60% of area median income.

City Council approved a limited use of the MULTE program to extend the property tax exemption and affordability timeframe for five years through an ordinance on May 10, 2023. The County Board of Commissioners likewise approved a resolution in support of this programming on June 1, 2023.

The extension is available to projects currently receiving the MULTE (or a tax exemption under prior versions of the program: Transit Oriented Development and New-Multi-Unit Housing) which have affordability restrictions at 60% of area median income or below.
